VIRTUAL Back To Bach
German composer, Johann Sebastian Bach wrote the book (literally and figuratively) on how music works. He explored and refined chord progressions, harmony, form, and much of the music theory we still use today, three hundred years later.
Join musician and lecturer Barry Weisenfeld to learn about the world of this famed composer and some of his most monumental works!
In the course of this presentation, we will come to understand the complexity and brilliance of J.S. Bach's music, and listen to various examples of his masterpieces in some detail.
Barry is an internationally recognized award-winning musician, a published author, and is on the music faculty of SUNY and Ramapo College. He has accompanied Grammy- and RMI-winning artists, performed on three continents and has played on numerous recordings, radio and TV.
The program is free and open to all and registration is required.
The zoom link will be emailed the day before the event.
