Memoir Writing Workshop

Memoir Writing Workshop

Are you an aspiring writer interested in writing your own memoir? If so, the Livingston Public Library invites you to join us for a Memoir Writing Workshop, taught by writer Barbara Wornton. This workshop will go over the basics of storytelling as well as writing advice from experts and Wornton's own experiences.  This workshop will also include the ability to free-write in short writing activities which will help put the theories covered in the workshop into practice! The workshop will conclude with a Q&A.

Barbara Worton has been writing and telling stories since she was a kid. Her stories have been published in literary, consumer and business publications and performed on stage. She is the author of Too Tall Alice, Bedtime Stories: The Long, Short and Tall Tales of a Sleepwriter, If I’m Talking, Why Aren’t You Listening? London Calling, Summer of 55 and other stories and poems published in literary, women’s service and business publications. She recently co-authored a memoir that is making the rounds of publishers and appeared in and was an Associate Producer of the award-winning film Surviving on LES.
