Adam Pendleton: Art at Home with Liz- Black History Month Artist Celebration on Zoom

February 2022 for the Art at Home classes we will be delving into the visually rich and exciting world of the new, up and coming Black artists of the 21st Century. February is of course Black History Month and what better way to celebrate and appreciate Black culture than by lookingat the work of its visual artists? Each Wednesday will be devoted to a different artist and a project inspired by their work.

Adam Pendleton will be our third artist of the month. Adam Pendleton is an American conceptual artist known for his multi-disciplinary practice, involving painting, silkscreen, collage, performance, word art, and video. Pendleton uses words and images to convey powerful ideas. After looking at and discussing his works, we, too, will take words in a visual way to convey our thoughts. We will explore ways in which art can have a message.
