Healing Paper Box Workshop
In this 30-min workshop, we will create painted decorative boxes out of paper that can be used for decoration or to hold special objects. This workshop is inspired by Mexican ofrendas, altars of special objects Lauren admired during her travels to Mexico City. First, we will release our emotions to create expressive paintings on paper, then we will fold our paper paintings into colorful boxes for an altar. Once you complete your box—you can gift it to yourself and fill it with your favorite things or give it as an offering to a loved one!
Materials:
A square piece of construction paper (preferably white paper if you want to paint on it)
Watercolors, paint brush, cup of water—or markers if you don’t have paint!
