"Poetry and Pitch"

In honor of Black History Month, the Hoboken Library will present "Poetry and Pitch," a poetry reading and musical performance on Saturday, February 19 at 2:00 pm in the Large Programming Room. The program will feature award-winning poet/performance artist Robert Anthony Gibbons who will read some of his original published poems as well as poetry by such famous African American poets as James Baldwin, Langston Hughes, Maya Angelou and others. He will be joined by award-winning musician/ singer Yacouba Sissoko, who will perform Jazz, Soul and West African music on his Kora (an African harp). Yacouba released his first solo CD "SIYA" in 2017 and has performed with Harry Belafonte, Paul Simon and Lauren Hill. Registration is required and seating is limited.
