Makers Day: Solution to Pollution (Gr. 4-6)

Makers Day: Solution to Pollution (Gr. 4-6)

RESCHEDULED TO 4:15PM

Dr. Birthe Kjellerup, professor of bioengineering at the University of Maryland, will virtually join us along with some of her students to discuss their work using sustainable solutions to remove pollution from our water systems. Children will learn about how they can apply the scientific method to problems they see in the environment, find out how bacteria can actually eat toxins in our water, and discover some of the everyday items that cause much of our water pollution. Be prepared to ask a lot of questions and have a ton of fun during this event for New Jersey Makers Day week!

Registration is required and is limited to Livingston residents. While our scientist will join us virtually, this is an in-person program! Please remember that a parent or guardian must remain in the library at all times during the program.

Sponsored by the Friends of the Livingston Library.
