Liz Ndoye: Brings Art into your home in Celebration of Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month. Live on Zoom

Liz Ndoye: Brings Art into your home in Celebration of Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month. Live on Zoom

Our artist of interest for this class in Maya Lin.  Lin is an American designer and sculptor. In 1981, while an undergraduate a Yale University, she achieved national recognition when she won a national design competition for the planned Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C. Maya Lin is, as was Noguchi, fascinated by the forces of nature and in particular nature. We will look at and discuss her ground breaking sculptures about how wind and water shape the land and then create our own landscapes that show the effects of the passage of water over land. Water colors will be the medium of choice on this project. Participants will have a chance to create their very own works of art.
