Movies that Matter: Fannie Lou Hamer's America
On Sunday, June 26th,at 2 PM, in honor of and remembrance of Juneteenth, The Friends of the Teaneck Public Library announce the return of our acclaimed movie series, "Movies that Matter," with the powerful documentary, "Fannie Lou Hamer's America." This is a must-see for all people, regardless of gender, race, ethnicity or class. Learn about one of our country's most influential "mother of the civil rights movement." There will be a talk-back session at the end of the documentary, with an introduction by Sandi Silverberg. This story has the potential to change your view of the movement, the country, the democratic process, indeed of the world we're in today. Don't miss it.
