In this class we will celebrate a lessor known Russian artist, Isaac Levitan. We
will look at his beautiful imagery of nature. During this class we will practice our skills at color
mixing and using saturated color. The assignment will be to make either a landscape or still life
with plants using our color skills.

All month long we will be looking at works of art inspired by the perfect
weather of summer and the outdoor activities that many of us partake in. Students will look at
and learn about art works that extol the beauty of summer from well-known and lesser known
visual artists and then create a variety of their own work. The projects that we do will enhance
and improve artistic skills and aesthetics appreciation.
