The tri-state area covers bedrock representing nearly all the ages of ancient life stretching back over 500 million years, and amazing fossils--even dinosaur bones--can be hunted if you know the right spot and what to look for. In this class we'll go over the rich paleo-history of the area, and learn of three specific places in New York, Pennsylvania and New Jersey where fossils can be freely collected.
