Art Lecture and Workshop with Liz Ndoye. Featured artist - Christopher Wool

Art Lecture and Workshop with Liz Ndoye. Featured artist - Christopher Wool

Christopher Wool will be the artist of focus for this class. Wool is best known for his paintings of large, black, stenciled letters on white canvases. Wool began to create word paintings in the late 1980s, reportedly after having
seen graffiti on a brand new white truck. His work is striking and strong. In our creative efforts
we will take words, letters, and numbers and use them as shapes rather than symbols and
make our own word inspired paintings.

Classes will be held in person at our library's main branch, located at 500 Park Ave, in the lower level, and virtually. All classes taught by Liz Ndoye.
