There is no registration necessary and all are welcome.

This month meet artist Renee Hunt and view her exhibit "Good to be Here". In this collection, she has focused on depicting Black Life and Black Figures in all their complexity and beauty. Her work draws your eyes in, then compels you to create a story with your imagination. For her drawings, she uses a ballpoint pen to create highly textured, two-dimension works on canvas and paper. Renee is inspired by storytelling, emotions, and representation. She pursues emotional themes and representation.

Renee has been working as a designer and illustrator since 2017. She started out as a graphic designer for an apparel company where she designed and adapted artwork for print production. Since then, she has freelanced, illustrated, and collaborated with great organizations such as Madison Square Garden and Vera Institute creating visuals for various events and publications.

Renee’s artistic influences include Kadir Nelson, Lucian Freud, John Singer Sargent. Other influences include James Baldwin and Toni Morrison. Find out more about her on her website reneeashleyhunt.com
