Easy Vegetarian Indian Cooking (with simple ingredients) on Facebook Live and Recorded

 

This  Facebook Live class will introduce cooking enthusiasts to the delicious & healthy world of vegetarian Indian food with ingredients that can be easily found in your pantry or the local grocery store 

Join us on the Library's Facebook at 5:30 PM! The video will be Live and then recorded if you want to watch it later. 

Here is the recipe and shopping list:

Veg Frankie Roll (Popular Street Food like a wrap)

INGREDIENTS

 

Prep Time – 20 min

Cook Time – 15 min

Serves 4

FOR STUFFING:

  • 1 tbsp oil
  • ½ cup chopped onions
  • 1 chopped green chili
  • 2-3 potatoes, boiled, peeled and mashed
  • ½ cup Sweet Corns
  • 1 tbsp Tomato Catchup
  • 1 tsp kashmiri chili powder / Red Chili powder
  • 1tsp Cumin powder
  • 1 tsp Dry Mango Powder
  • ½ tsp garam masala powder
  • salt to taste

For Wrap

· 4 tsp Butter

  • 2 tsp Oil
  • 1 cup of flour Maida/ whole wheat floour
  • Salt
  • Water

Assembling INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 carrot,thinly sliced
  • ½ onion, thinly sliced( mixes with 1 tbsp vinegar)
  • ½ capsicum, thinly sliced
  • Pickled green chilies (thin chopped and kept in vinegar and salt for 30 min or more)
  • 4 tbsp green chutney
  • ½ tsp chaat masala
  • ½ cup Shredded white cheddar cheese
  • Tomato Catchup
