Celebrating the Holiday Season with Art! Art Lecture and Workshop with Liz Ndoye. Featured Artist - Agnes Martin
For the second Wednesday in December, we will go abstract and look at and enjoy the art of
Agnes Martin. Martin born in Canada combined her abstraction with a minimalist sensibility
and late in her career dropped her reliance on the minimalist grid and returned to complete
abstraction. Her work Is subtle, spiritual, and I think deep - uniquely fitting for the frenetic and
often hectic holiday season. Students will create their own abstract paintings. They will be
encouraged to try both the minimalist as well as completely abstract direction during the two
hour session in order to experience both types of creating.
This program will be held in person and live on Zoom and YouTube!
