Art Lecture and Workshop with Liz Ndoye, Celebrating Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month. Featured Artist - Maria Cruz Palileo

Art Lecture and Workshop with Liz Ndoye, Celebrating Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month. Featured Artist - Maria Cruz Palileo

The third artist will be Maria Cruz Palileo. Cruz Palileo is a Fillipino - American artist who makes
lively, multi-layered paintings about the colonial powers that changed the shape and way of life
of the people of the Philippines. She, too, is a gay artist and because of this she is drawn to
images and photographs of people who project a strong image of who they think they are. Our
job will be to create our own self-portraits either from an old photo or by looking at our faces in
mirrors.

This program will be held in person and live on Zoom and YouTube!
