Celebrating the Joy of Summer - Art Lecture and Workshop with Liz Ndoye, Featured Artist, Ansel Adams

Celebrating the Joy of Summer - Art Lecture and Workshop with Liz Ndoye, Featured Artist, Ansel Adams

In the month of August we will be celebrating the joy of summer! The month of vacation, travel, adventure,
and relaxation - national parks, overseas destinations, beach vistas, mountain views, car and
plane trips etc. In celebration we will be inspired by artists who found their own inspiration in all
things fun and/or natural!

Our first class will start with the great photographer Ansel Adams. No one photographed
our national parks and the extraordinary beauty of nature better than Adams. Who better to
look at than he for appreciating the joys that vacation and travel can bring? We will continue
our studies of landscape but with a twist - since Adams was the master of black and white
photography - we will create landscapes in black and white only. This will enable students to
explore tonality and shading in a very in depth and new way.

This program will be held in person and live on Zoom and YouTube!
