Celebrating Latin History Month - Art Lecture and Workshop with Liz Ndoye, featured Artist,Tania Bruguera.

For our second session this month, our artist of focus will be Tania Bruguera.
Bruguera is a Cuban artist who now lives in the U.S. and is a professor at Harvard university.
She is an artist who’s art is very political and primarily about immigrants rights. Her pieces are
performance works in which she enacts what the effects of government oppression feels like
for nationless and undocumented peoples. After watching a video about her and her work and
discussing how she uses art to transform people’s lives. Students will be invited to create
images that express some instance in their lives when they were unable to do or say what they
wished and how that felt.

This program will be held in person and live on Zoom and YouTube!
