Art Lecture and Workshop with Liz Ndoye. Theme: HOPE AND NEW BEGINNINGS... Featured Artist is Gerhard Richter

Art Lecture and Workshop with Liz Ndoye. Theme: HOPE AND NEW BEGINNINGS... Featured Artist is Gerhard Richter

For our second class on January 11, we will delve into the work of Gerhard Richter a German
contemporary artist widely regarded as perhaps the most influential German artist of the 20th
century. Not often considered to be an optimistic, hopeful artist, I have chosen Richter because
of his fluency in so many styles, skills and media. He grew up in a tumultuous time in Europe
and uses his personal interpretations of this history to make his art.

Students will create their own works of art in class. This program will be held in person and live on Zoom and YouTube!
