Art Lecture and Workshop with Liz Ndoye, Featured Artist Van Gogh along with Poet, Ann Sexton
For the first class on April 5, we will look at the Van Gogh’s most famous painting The Starry
Night. The Starry Night inspired the poet Anne Sexton to write her highly evocative poem
“The Starry Night”.
Students will read and discuss Sexton’s poem, look at and dissect Van
Gogh’s masterpiece and then create their own landscape paintings inspired by thoughts,
images and ideas evolving from our discussion and interpretations.
This program will be held in person and live on Zoom and YouTube!
