Art Lecture & Creative Workshop with Liz Ndoye - "Celebrating Refreshment and Renewal"... Learn how to draw.
September is traditionally the time of launching new beginnings. The new school year, the new year in many religious traditions - Judaism, Islam, Hinduism. So in that vein, the theme of the September Art with Liz classes will be refreshment and renewal.
The basis of our classes and work will be the book Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain by Betty Edwards. Ms. Edwards uses scientific research on the workings of the brain to teach and improve artists’ drawing skills. Many of her theories are also taken from practices that artists and art students have been using for centuries.
In this class students will learn two of the most important techniques and skills of basic drawing. They are perspective and shading. These techniques will enable students to render three dimensional objects on a flat two dimensional paper surface.
This program will be held in person and live on Zoom and YouTube!
